• 1/2 cup jallab syrup (readily available in Middle Eastern or specialty stores)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Crushed ice (optional)
  • Pine nuts or almonds, for garnish (optional)
  • Rose water (optional)


  • In a large pitcher, combine the jallab syrup and cold water. Stir well until the syrup is fully dissolved.
  • Add ice cubes to the pitcher to chill the drink.
  • If desired, add a splash of rose water to enhance the floral aroma of the drink.
  • Stir the jallab mixture again to ensure all flavors are combined.
  • To serve, pour the jallab into glasses filled with ice cubes or crushed ice.
  • Optionally, garnish each glass with a few pine nuts or almonds for added texture and flavor.
